Special Friend

Hi!

It has been a while since I last joined a blog challenge so today I am going to share with you the card that I made for Simon Says Stamp Wedensday Blog Challenge. This week's theme is You Gotta Have Friends. They are showcasing Art Impression stamps this week but I do not have any of their products. I planned to get some in the near future though because their stamps are quite cute.

So let's take a look at my card for today:

I embossed some coloured cardstocks using an embossing folder and cut them into strips. I used the Small Butterfly Punch to punch the ends of the cardstocks at an angle.

I then stamped the small butterfly image from the Papillion Potpourri Stamp set in similar colours as the cardstocks and punched them out using the Small Butterfly Punch.

After completting this card, I wanted to make another card that is quite similar to the card above. In the end, I think it turned out totally different. I guess the only the thing that is similar is the sentiment where both cards also have the word "friend". Hahaha!!!

Here's the second card:

I used one of the flower image from the Mixed Bunch Stamp in Versafine Smoky Gray ink and Stampin' Up Strawberry Slush Classic ink and punched them out with the coordinating Blossom Punch. I rolled up the edges of the flowers and used foam tape on each layer of the flowers for some added dimension.

I then used some white 3D paint on the center of the top most flower, tied some thread with silver lining and finish the card off with a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp set.

Well, that's all for the update today.
Thanks for stopping by and do drop by again for another update next Wednesday!
