Something Just For You

Hi!

Sorry for missing last Sunday's update. Something is wrong with my connection these days. I cannot get my blog to load. In the end, I got fed up with it. Luckily today I can load my blog without much problem. I have been thinking of how I can use up my existing cardstocks and I decided to make the gift card holder that I made for Mother's Day. I am going to make one of each colour cardstock that I have.

So starting off, I made one using a light yellow cardstock. You will be seeing the same patterned papers that I used for the Box in a Card because I wanted to use up all the scraps instead of cutting into my new patterned papers.

Frankly speaking, I do not like how it turned out as I have no idea what I am doing but oh well, it is a waste to trash it. So here's how it looks like:

That's all for the update today. I will try to improve with my writing. Wasn't too happy with such short posts.
Thanks for stopping by and do drop by for another update this Sunday. Hope that my connection does ot give me any more trouble. *Fingers crossed*

Fairly Simple

Hi!
I was pretty busy last week so I didn't have time and energy to make much cards. I have made a fairly simple card for today's update so it will be a very short update.

I have wanted to participate in Simon Says Wednesday Blog Challenge last week but I didn't have time to make the card so today's card I made using the theme for the challenge last week as an inspiration. The theme for last Wednesday was Spring Flowers.

I made a simple card using the ...wishes stamp set from Penny Black. I used 3 of the flower stamps and the Happy Birthday sentiment from the stamp set.

Here are the pictures of my card:

That's all the update for today.

Happy Mother's Day

Hi!
First of all, I would like to apologize for missing last Sunday's update. I was out celebrating Mother's Day with my mom and aunt. Actually I was feeling a little bit under the weather for the past few days so by the time I reached home last Sunday, I was having a headache so I went straight to bed.

I am supposed to have an update yesterday but obviously I have not done that. Otherwise I wouldn't be writing this post today. I wanted to also take this opportunity to tell you that there will be no updates this coming Sunday as I have family get together planned for this weekend. I will be back with updates next week so do drop by again next week.

Now moving on to my update for today, I would like to share the card that I have made for my mom for Mother's Day. I got the idea from Dawn Griffith and I really like these ideas meant for giving gift cards because I can put some money inside. Then my mom can use the money buy whatever she likes for Mother's Day.

So here's how the card looks like:

The front of the card.

Close-up of the focal point of my card. Frankly speaking, I do not like the colours that I have used on the cats. I love the intricate Doily Heart die from Simon Says Stamp.

The inside of the card. There's a small pocket where you can put a gift card inside. In my case, I put some money in it.

That's all for the update today.
Thanks for stopping by and do drop by next Wednesday for another update.

3" x 3" Cards

Hi!
Today's update will be a very simple one. As I mentioned before in my previous post, the cardstocks that I am using now is not 8.5" x 11" so whenever I make a standard size card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"), I always end up with leftover which is not big enough to make another standard size card.

So I decided to make them into 3" x 3" cards. These cards are great for attaching with presents or as little tokens of appreciation. I have made some with scraps of cardstock and patterned papers that I have lying around.

Here are the cards that I made:

I really can't get enough of my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush and Glossy Accent. I used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush on all the hearts and butterflies. As for the Glossy Accent, I only applied it on the hearts.

Hope that you like my small note cards!

That's all for the update today.

Thanks for stopping by and do drop by on Sunday for another update!

Anything Goes Challenge

Hi!
I am participating in the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Blog Challenge. This week's theme (30th April 2014) is Anything Goes. For this week's challenge, I made a shaker card using the Critters in Costume stamp set from Lawn Fawn.

Close-up of the shaker card. I'm really loving the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I'm about to run out of the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Need to stock up some more soon.

That's all the update for today.
Thanks for stopping by and do drop by on Wednesday for another update.
