12 Days of Christmas Card #6

Hello!!
Today is the 6th day of my 12 Days of Christmas Card series and I am very excited to share with you the card for today.

A very simple card with Forever Friends chipboard.

Close-up shot - I embossed the greetings with white embossing powder and added glitters to the punched out snowflakes and on the hats of the bears.

Supplies used:-
Stamp sets: Studio G's (don't know the name of the stamp set)
Patterned paper: October Afternoon Holiday Style, My Mind's Eye So Sophie "Never Enough" Daring Dot
Cardstock: Regular lime green and white cardstock from Popular bookstore
Ink pads: Versamark
Tools: 1/2" corner rounder punch, snowflake punch, Deco Label die
Accessories: American Crafts Zing White Opaque Embossing Powder, jute string, Forever Friends chipboard, glitters, Zebra Black Gel pen

Today's card is inspired by this card that was in the Papercraft Inspirations Issue 118.

For my card, I thought that it looked kinda plain with the white card base so I pierced some holes at the top right corner and the bottom left corner to give it a more finished look.

I hope that you like my card for today.
Thanks for stopping by.

12 Days of Christmas Card #1

Hello!
I know I have been missing in action for the longest time. As usual the reason being, one word: LAZY. Anyway that is not what I would like to blog about today. These days, I spent most of my time browsing through my favourite YouTube channel for cardmaking inspirations and with Christmas being around the corner, most of my favourite designers started to upload their 12 Days of Christmas Card Series or 25 Days of Christmas Card Series. So I thought that it will be a great idea to do my own series of 12 Days of Christmas Card. As I know nothing about making and uploading videos, I decided to make and post a Christmas card on my blog everyday for 12 days.

Although I do not always celebrate Christmas, I have always loved Christmas so when I went into cardmaking and stamping, I bought quite a number of Studio G's Christmas themed mini stamp sets. Due to my lazy and procrastinating nature, I haven't gotten around to use the stamp sets to make Christmas cards. By doing this series, it helps me to fully utilize my stamps rather then just storing them away.

Anyway, without further ado, here's the first card to my 12 Days of Christmas Card Series for today.

A very simple card - Love the Santa and reindeer, so cute ~

Close-up shot to show that I added white dazzling glitters to the Santa's hat, beard and on the ground as though they are standing on snow covered ground. I also added some glossy accent to the reindeer's nose.

Supplies used:-
Stamp sets: 3 different Studio G's stamp sets (I have forgotten the names of the stamp sets, I don't think it is stated on the original packaging either)
Patterned paper: October Afternoon Holiday Style, My Mind's Eye  So Sophie "Never Enough" Daring Dot
Cardstock: Regular green and white cardstock from Popular bookstore
Ink pads: Stazon Jet Black, Versafine Vintage Sepia
Tools: 1/2" corner rounder punch
Accessories: Jute string, white glitters, glossy accent, Uni-ball Signo white gel pen, Zebra black gel pen

That's all for the update today.
Thanks for stopping by.

Updates!

I have been neglecting my blog as usual. Sometimes, I have the urge to blog but most of the time, I'm just lazy to do so. When I see other friends blogging about their life, it makes me want to do so as well so that I can look back and remember the good old times that I have enjoyed.

Well, moving on to the updates of my current life. I am doing fine at my new job (well, can't be considered new anymore since a year is about to pass), have set up a Facebook page called Send Love Design to showcase my works, missing my dad everyday, finally got my hands on a Bigshot (my very own!!) and a little of this and that.

My cousin set up her own showroom/shop: Cocktails & Martinis. I went to visit her cute little shop last night and I absolutely fell in love with it. So proud of her, being her own boss at a young age.

I have a lot of plans for 2013, mostly things to do with my crafting. I'm not going to reveal them here yet as I know at the end of the day, I'll be too lazy to do but I really hope that I will honour my words and do whatever I have planned for 2013.

And that wraps up today's post. Will blog more often in the near future!
